Those joining our Graduate Management Scheme can expect to gain experience in a number of fields across the business including Sales, Finance, Commercial and Engineering. Unlike some housebuilders, we do not require graduates to have a degree in any specific discipline.
At Taylor Wimpey the emphasis is on gaining experience, so trainees complete a two-year scheme working in different areas of the company. This starts with a two-week induction where you’ll spend time with senior members of the TW team and take part in training including team building, management skills and health and safety. You’ll then spend three months on a building site, followed by a placement in sales and the marketing of new homes. After 12 months, graduates will have worked in every department in the company and at the end of the year you’ll generally know which of these departments you want to focus on.

Graduates are also expected to move between our 25 UK based offices. One of the demands we make is that you will work in at least three different businesses. So you might spend your first three months in Glamorgan and the following six on the South Coast. We do assist graduates who need to relocate and there is also a good network of existing graduates in the business who can offer advice.
Applications are invited from graduates with a 2:1 degree backed up by a minimum of 300 UCAS points and the personal qualities, communication and people skills to meet our demanding specification.
You will need your own car to travel between locations and all applicants must be eligible to work permanently in the UK.
