How do I apply?

Apply for the Apprentice Scheme

When do I apply?

We take on apprentices in September each year, and we need you have received your application by the end of April.

What qualifications do I need?

You’ll need at least three GCSEs or equivalent qualifications such as GCEs or O Levels.

Where can I work?

You could be asked to work anywhere in the UK. But if you do need to work away from home, we’ll pay your living expenses.

What college do I go to?

You’ll attend our Academy in Coalville, Leicestershire or a college closest to you that offers an NVQ III qualification in your subject

Do I have a choice between day release and block release?

Yes, you can choose. But once you have decided, you must stick with it for the duration of your apprenticeship. You can’t change from one to the other half way through!

What happens when I finish my apprenticeship?

If you’ve been successful, you could well be offered a permanent job at Taylor Wimpey.

What happens once I apply?

Our Apprentice Co-ordinator will get in touch with you and – if your first stage application was successful – you’ll be invited for an interview.

Are you only looking for young people?

Absolutely not. In fact, we’re looking for people of all ages and from all backgrounds to launch their careers with us.

Do I receive a staff discount?

You will be eligible for a discount on a Taylor Wimpey home once you’ve completed your apprenticeship and become a permanent member of the Taylor Wimpey team.
