Our strategic CR objectives are:
- Governance – to adopt progressive governance practices and proactively engage with all of our stakeholders. To enhance the effectiveness of our governance, we will be simplifying the structure of our CR improvement groups and revitalising the governing committee.
- Management – to revitalise our strategy for CR and ensure it meets our business objectives and addresses our key risks and opportunities in the light of the changing regulatory environment and stakeholder needs.
- Creating value for society - to contribute actively to local communities and urban regeneration.
- Sustainability – to actively partake in shaping the debate on sustainability in the homebuilding sector and to be at the forefront of efforts to enhance the sustainability of the developments we build, through our commitment to the new Code for Sustainable Homes.
- Environment – to minimise our environmental impact and, where possible, enhance the built environment and restore degraded land (adding value and reducing potential harm).
- Health and Safety - to improve our safety performance through raising awareness, behavioural training, monitoring and incentivisation. To improve our management of occupational health by active engagement with our people.
- People – to be the employer of choice and enhance the intellectual capital of the organisation through the development and training of our team, particularly in the field of corporate responsibility.
